Minister Johnetta Queen

 

Minister Johnetta Queen was born and raised in the Washington D.C. area. She is a dedicated member of Remnant Christian Center in Riverdale, MD, where she serves under the leadership of Pastor Jacquelyn Steele-Queen. At Remnant, she works on the Outreach Ministry, Praise Team and Pastor’s Aide Committee. She also serves as Minister of the Youth Department and is currently the President of the Usher Board. In early 2013, she acknowledged and accepted her call to the Ministry of the Gospel and preached her Initial Sermon in 2014. Since then, she has been invited to speak at Retreats, Seminars and various Youth Services.

Johnetta graduated Egregia Cum Laude at the top 1% of her high school class and received a full scholarship to the top private art school in the nation: the Maryland Institute College of Art. There she earned a recurring place on the Dean’s List and was chosen to speak at Congressional hearings, earning over four million dollars in scholarship money for underprivileged youth. In May 2013, she graduated, receiving her Bachelors in Illustration, a Concentration in Graphic Design and a Minor in Literary Studies and went on to found the Studio Art Company, Queen Illustrations™.

She is also a High School Teacher at Thurgood Marshall College Prep Academy in Washington, D.C. Since 2012, she has served as the National

Creative Director of the No Sex Movement, encouraging purity amongst Christian youth. She firmly believes that God is the absolute authority over all creation, and that according to Daniel 11:32, “…the people that know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”
