Dr. Jasmine "Jazz" Scurlock

 

Dr. Jasmin “Jazz” Sculark, known nationally and internationally as the “Daughter of Thunder,” is the Founder and President of Dr. Jazz Ministries. She was installed as the Senior Pastor of Jericho City of Praise in Landover, Maryland, in September 2014.

She is a graduate of the Practical Bible College in Vestal, New York, and the Washington Bible College in Lanham, Maryland. She received her Master’s in Theological Studies from the Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio, and her Doctor of Ministry Degree from the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.

A native of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Jazz is a pastor, teacher, evangelist and two-time author whom God has chosen as a vessel to do a mighty work in the 21st century. Her life’s mission is to encourage, educate, equip and empower the world through the written and spoken Word. As the “Daughter of Thunder,” her preaching and teaching ministry makes a thunderous impact in the minds and hearts of all those who come into contact with her ministry. She is indeed a woman “for such a time as this!”
